Aligning the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) with the Paris Agreement and the SDGs: Challenges and Opportunities

Three years after the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) commenced operations, this report by Germanwatch presents a civil society perspective from Bangladesh, China, India, Russia & Germany. It analyses the Bank’s guidelines and past experience in selected countries (China, India, Bangladesh, Russia). It compares the AIIB’s policies and strategies with its investment criteria in terms of transformational change and sustainability as well as alignment with the Paris Agreement.
